Throne and Liberty is struggling to attract players to its servers. The new offer from the major September update aims to achieve this. MeinMMO reveals what is known about the Hyperboost feature set.
What is behind the Hyperboost? When the next content update is released on September 18, 2025, the so-called Hyperboost feature set will also be available on all Throne and Liberty servers. It includes a variety of bonuses designed to help newly created characters prepare for the endgame of the MMORPG. These include:
- an increased earning rate for essential resources and materials for gear enhancement
- special rewards through missions or completing milestones that allow players to progress faster
The Hyperboost will also see new servers for Throne and Liberty going live, where newcomers can start together and build a community under the same conditions. The drawbacks of late entry into the MMORPG should not play a role there.
Of course, returning players and veterans on the new servers also have the opportunity for a fresh start and to avoid past mistakes with their current knowledge.
Lost Ark as a model
Why is the Hyperboost coming? Throne and Liberty has been struggling with declining player numbers since its launch on October 1, 2024. The trend has been downward for months. Even the expansion Wilderness of Talandre hasn’t been able to change this sustainably.
While Throne and Liberty was still number 1 on the list of most-played MMORPGs on Steam a few months ago, the title managed by Amazon Games in the West has now slipped to 5th place. Since the publisher was able to temporarily increase player numbers with comparable events and restart servers in Lost Ark, it’s not surprising that the Hyperboost will soon be implemented in Throne and Liberty in an adapted form.
However, the new feature has not generated much hype in the community so far. On Reddit, there are some discussions about it, but with very few comments and upvotes. Often, players of the MMORPG want to know how to efficiently leverage the Hyperboost with Twinks or whether it’s better to polish up the old character.
