The Japanese branch of the online shop Amazon has listed a release date for some accessories of the upcoming PlayStation 5. It initially stated November 20, 2020, as the release date. However, that date has since disappeared.
What kind of leak is this? The PlayStation 5 and its accessories can be purchased through the online shop Amazon. In Germany, it only states that the PS5 is currently unavailable, without further information.
After players recently received emails about the PS5 release, a release date appeared today, September 10, on the Japanese site – namely November 20, 2020.
This was shared by Twitter user Renka, who claims to have found several accessories along with the PS5, including:
- a charging station as well as add-ons for the controller
- the headset

He writes that for all three products, November 20 is listed as the release date. However, the offer has already disappeared again, apparently taken offline.
How likely is that? November 20 is a Friday. Historically, new PlayStation consoles have always been released on a Friday. The community, therefore, assumes that either November 20 as listed or November 13 a week earlier is likely.
Other possibilities include the preceding Wednesday (November 10 or 17). Additionally, not all accessories have been released simultaneously with the console in the past. However, items like the charging station have.
Players are eagerly waiting for information
The impatience of players for the new PlayStation 5 is growing. Having learned quite a lot already, they want to finally know when they can buy the new console and what it will cost.
Especially now, fans want to know more about the next-gen console, as Microsoft just announced the release date and price of the Xbox Series X a few days ago.

At Microsoft, numerous leaks preceded the releases that eventually turned out to be true. Whether that will be the case for the PlayStation 5 remains to be seen.
Players, however, are still waiting for official information from Sony and PlayStation. At least, there has been no shortage of leaks. Recently, a leaker mentioned that the PlayStation 5 has issues with 4K resolution.
