Deep in the mountains of Nilfgaard lay the headquarters of the Viper School. Unlike the other witcher schools, this one was created for a very specific purpose. They were to find a way to defeat the ghostly riders of the Wild Hunt.
After the school’s downfall, its members became outcasts of the Nilfgaardian Empire. However, Emperor Emhyr var Emreis promised the survivors the reconstruction of the Viper School – in exchange for their deadly services. Thus, the vipers became known as treacherous royal assassins who wreak havoc in the Northern Kingdoms.
Their fighting style is quick, aggressive, and particularly deadly due to the use of poisons. Unlike other witchers, vipers prefer to wield two small swords, which are presumably better suited for secret assassinations.
