The Manticore School was a new addition from “Blood and Wine,” the second DLC for Witcher 3. However, we do not learn much about the witcher school, other than that it is located far to the east. Its witchers rarely travel to the parts of the continent we know, which is why we have never encountered one.
Due to the particularly toxic beasts in their homeland, witchers of the Manticore School had to learn to develop high resistances. They also made use of this knowledge to develop their own strong toxins. This is reflected in gameplay with the Manticore armor set, which enhances alchemy and bombs.
Even though the witchers of the Manticore School certainly represent powerful opponents, they are very specialized in their environment and thus land at rank 5 on this list.
