The headquarters of the Bear School was located somewhere on the rugged rocks of the Skellige Islands. Similar to the harsh environment, the witchers of this school were tough, unyielding, and resilient. They specialized in heavy armor that not only provided good protection against enemy attacks but also against the cold.
As befitting a proper Viking berserker, the witchers of the Bear School fought with one or even two axes. They also made particularly skillful use of crossbows for their monster hunts.
Despite their good armor, unfortunately, no witchers from the Bear School survived by the time of Witcher 3. Only an old tale of Gerd, an adventurous witcher who dealt swiftly with dragons, sirens, and strigas, is known. Perhaps it was this bravado that led to an early end for the Bear School.
