With the new expansion “Warlords of New York”, many changes came for the gear sets and a few new ones were added. Here you will find a list of all 10 gear sets from The Division 2.
What are gear sets? Unlike the brand equipment of The Division 2, gear sets provide you with special talents that can only be found on these sets. The more pieces you equip from one set, the more bonuses these special equipment pieces provide:
- 1 piece – No bonus
- 2 pieces – Value bonus
- 3 pieces – Value bonus
- 4 pieces – Special talent
The special bonus with 4 pieces brings a very special talent that can support your playstyle. It is also worth changing your combat behavior for some of the sets, as the talents can be really powerful. With the gear set talents on the backpack and vest, the 4-piece talent can be further enhanced.
With the major expansion “Warlords of New York“, the developers revised almost the entire equipment and the gear sets are now quite different. Here is the list of the 10 gear sets with talents.
Hard Wired Set – Skills last longer
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 15% cooldown reduction
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 15% skill damage / 15% skill repair
How does the 4-piece bonus work? The talent “Feedback Loop” supports your skills with uptime and damage. Each time you use or destroy one of your skills, the other skill reloads, giving you 10% skill repair and skill damage for 20 seconds.
- Backpack talent: Short Circuit
- Reduces the cooldown of Feedback Loop from 20 to 10 seconds.
- Vest talent: Positive Reinforcement
- Increases the effect of Feedback Loop from 10 to 25%.
What is the Hard-Wired set suitable for? Skill builds with high skill damage and a high skill tier can benefit here. For instance, if you have the turret in one slot, you can keep refreshing and buffing your turret with the chem launcher in the second slot.
Activated Directive – Strong hollow-point ammunition with status effects
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 15% status effects
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 20% reload speed
How does the 4-piece bonus work? With the talent “Rules of Engagement”, enemies that you take down and are affected by a status effect drop powerful “hollow-point ammunition”. This ammunition increases weapon damage by 20% and causes bleeding on enemies.
- Backpack talent: Emergency Requisition
- When reloading, combat resources within 40 meters are collected (repair kits, ammunition, grenades).
- Vest talent: Parabellum Rounds
- Increases the damage buff of “hollow-point ammunition” from 20 to 35%.
What can Ongoing Directive do? If you like working with status effects, this might be for you. Take weapon talents that trigger status effects and at least one skill with fire or similar. The second focus should be on weapon damage to maximize the benefit of the ammo bonus.
True Patriot – Debuff fireworks and plenty of ammunition
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 30% ammunition capacity
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 30% magazine size
How does the 4-piece bonus work? The talent is quite crazy. When you shoot an enemy, they receive a color buff: red, white, or blue. The more you hit an enemy with a specific color, the more the effect of that color stacks. Every 2 seconds, the colors on the enemies change.
- Red: Increases damage received by the enemy by 8%.
- White: Hitting an enemy heals your own and allies’ armor by 5% (1 second cooldown)
- Blue: Reduces the damage that this enemy deals by 5%.
If you can adorn the enemies with all colors, they explode in a 5-meter wide explosion, dealing damage in that area based on their health and armor. (Named enemies deal less damage).
- Backpack talent: Patriotic Boost
- Enhances debuffs: red to 12%, white to 8%, and blue to 12%.
- Vest talent: Waving the Flag
- Debuff rotation goes down from 2 to 1.5 seconds.
What does the True Patriot set do? The debuffs of the 4-piece talent provide significant advantages for complete teams, as the weaknesses apply to all allies. “White” even heals your team. Bring some armor and a fast-firing assault rifle, and you can significantly support your team.
Aces and Eights – Sniper poker
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 15% sniper rifle damage
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 20% headshot damage
How does the 4-piece bonus work? The “Dead Man’s Hand” talent can keep up with the crazy Patriot talent. When you hit an enemy with a sniper rifle, you reveal a card. Every 5 cards, the damage of the next shot increases by 30%. However, if you reveal a strong hand, the buff lasts even longer.
- Quad: 4 shots
- Full House: 3 shots
- Aces and Eights: 2 shots
- Backpack talent: Poker Face
- On the first hit, you reveal 2 cards.
- Vest talent: No Limit
- Damage bonus increases from 30 to 50%.
What can the raid set Aces and Eights do? Since the talent only triggers when you hit enemies with a sniper rifle, you have little choice here. High weapon damage, low armor, and ready to strike from the farthest corner. A sniper set with a chance for a big damage boost.

Negotiator’s Dilemma – Critical area damage
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 15% critical hit chance
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 20% critical hit damage
What does the 4-piece bonus do? When you hit enemies with critical hits, the talent “Crowd Control” marks enemies for 20 seconds. You can mark up to 3 targets, all of which then take damage when you land a critical hit on one of the targets. Not only does the marked target you are attacking take the damage, but the other marked targets receive 60% of the damage dealt.
If a marked target is taken out, you will receive an additional 2% critical hit damage until the end of the fight, up to a maximum of 40%.
- Backpack talent: Critical Measures
- Increases the damage the marked targets take from 60 to 100%.
- Vest talent: Target Rich Environment
- You can now mark 5 instead of 3 targets.
What does Negotiator’s Dilemma bring me? An interesting choice for Crit builds. There are several factors to consider, but if you control the “marking”, you can deal a lot of damage here. Especially enemy teams standing close together, you can wipe out easily.

Tip of the Spear – Signature weapons boost damage
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 10% specialization weapon damage
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 10% weapon damage
What does the 4-piece bonus do? The talent “Aggressive Recon” ensures that after each kill with one of the specialization signature weapons, you have a 20% increased weapon damage for 60 seconds. Additionally, you receive ammunition for your individual weapons once every 60 seconds.
- Backpack talent: Crossbow Expert
- You receive an extra crossbow bolt every 60 seconds (works only with the specialization “Survivalist”).
- Vest talent: Specialized Destruction
- Increases the weapon damage bonus of “Aggressive Recon” from 20 to 40%.
How does Tip of the Spear work? If you enjoy using the individual weapons of the specializations, this set will help you advance. Every 60 seconds you receive one shot for the signature weapons and if you take down an enemy with it, your damage increases for a long minute. Remember to use the heavy weapons, as this set provides a significant damage boost.

Foundry Bullwark – Damage brings back health and armor
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 10% total armor
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 3% armor per second
What happens with 4 pieces? Here, the talent “Makeshift Repairs” helps you withstand a lot of damage. If your health or armor shield takes damage, you receive 40% of the damage as healing over the next 10 seconds. The regeneration counts for armor and health.
- Backpack talent: Process Refinery
- Instead of 10, you receive the healing within 6 seconds.
- Vest talent
- You receive not only 40% but 60% of the damage as healing.
What is Foundry Bullwark suitable for? A thick tank set with a lot of potential for the frontline fighters. In a way, with this set, you take 40% less damage than with other equipment. Although you may only get it back after a few seconds, you will be continuously healed and can build up a hefty “armor per second” regeneration.
Future Initiative – Weak healer makes everyone strong
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 15% skill repair
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 15% skill duration / 15% cooldown reduction
What if I have 4 pieces? If you have full armor, you and your entire team receive 15% extra weapon and skill damage through the talent “Ground Control”. Additionally, you can heal multiple allies and yourself simultaneously. When you heal a team member, everyone within a radius of 5 meters also receives 60% of the healing. This applies to yourself as well.
- Backpack talent: Strategic Combat Support
- The healing in the 5-meter radius increases from 60 to 120%.
- Vest talent: (Name missing)
- Increases the damage bonus of the 4-piece talent from 15 to 25%.
What does Future Initiative bring? This set is specifically designed for healers. It rewards careful play and buffs the team when you have no damage on the armor. Additionally, the healing extends, and you can theoretically heal the entire team at once. With a focus on skills, you get the most out of it.
Striker’s Battlegear – Rewards accuracy with lots of damage
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 15% weapon handling
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 15% rate of fire
What do 4 pieces bring? With the talent “Strikers Gamble”, each weapon hit increases the weapon damage by 0.5%, up to a maximum of 50 stacks. Each second, one stack disappears, and every time you miss a shot, 3 stacks erase.
- Backpack talent: Risk Management
- If you miss, you lose not 3 stacks but only 2.
- Vest talent: Press the Advantage
- You can now collect up to 100 stacks instead of 50. Your weapon damage can thus be increased by up to 50%.
What does the “Striker’s” set do? Weapon damage and precision, this set requires accuracy from you and in return provides a lot of damage. Weapons with high ammunition and high rate of fire benefit here, an LMG works well here, but an MP can also quickly fill the stacks.
System Corruption – PvP set with special skill
- Set bonus 2 pieces: 15% armor for kills
- Set bonus 3 pieces: 40% disruptor resistance / 40% pulse resistance
What’s special about 4 pieces? Instead of a repair kit, the talent “Hackstep Protocol” gives you a new ability. Every 20 seconds, you can hide your nameplate for 5 seconds and gain 50% bonus armor during that time. You can use this ability infinitely and activate it like the repair kits.
- Backpack talent: Multithreaded Execution
- Increases the armor bonus from 50 to 100%.
- Vest talent: Compiler Optimization
- Instead of 20, the main talent’s cooldown is only 15 seconds.
When does the “System Corruption” set help? The set provides bonuses in PvP and allows you to approach combat situations with a special ability. Whether for escape or attack, “System Corruption” can be extremely useful in the Dark Zone to take a lot of damage for a short time and gain a 5-second advantage over your opponent.
