The famous streamer shroud has made his first appearance since the Mixer shutdown. In his latest tweet, however, he only shows a strange, brief clip featuring scenes from the tactical shooter Valorant. What is shroud trying to tell us?
This is the clip: The short video shows the loading of a weapon, starting from the trigger being pulled. The camera then pans over the barrel of the weapon to the muzzle from which a bullet flies. Then the video ends.
While the shot is focused on the barrel, brief scenes from Valorant appear there. Specifically, Omen is shown, one of the agents from Valorant and one that shroud has played frequently. He is apparently being shot at with an Operator, one of the sniper rifles in the game.
The weapon itself does not come from Valorant, but rather from another shooter. The model apparently is an M4. This is a popular weapon in the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and also in Escape from Tarkov. Both are games that shroud has shown in his streams before.
Is the shooter star returning to Twitch?
This could mean the video: Many fans are speculating about what shroud wants to convey with the video. After all, it is the first time he has been heard from since the closure of Twitch competitor Mixer on June 22. Since then, he has kept a low profile.
The confusion among other Twitter users reacting to the clip is significant. Nobody really knows what to make of it. Some of his fans are looking for details in the video and hidden messages. The most common theory is that shroud will soon be streaming again.
Since the details shown are content from games that shroud has previously displayed, it is quite possible that he is teasing his return. The platform, however, remains open.
What are the chances for Twitch? Shroud had previously dissolved his contracts along with streaming colleague Ninja and would now theoretically be free for Twitch. There, shroud’s channel still has over 7 million followers. This would be quite a good starting point.

According to older rumors, shroud was supposed to plan a new streaming service along with Ninja and Dr Disrespect: Brime. This was supposed to be operated by the music streaming service Spotify. However, former Mixer colleague Ninja has already made it quite clear that nothing will come of Brime .
The other alternatives for shroud would be YouTube and Facebook. However, shroud has previously rejected a deal with Facebook, and it would be strange if he were to change his mind now. Presumably, more clarity will come in the coming days.
