A German YouTuber has made it his mission to survive like Fritz Meinecke in 7 vs. Wild, at least for one night. In a video on YouTube, he documents his experiences.
Which YouTuber is it? It is the YouTube channel Viva Infinita, which seems to be operated by three young men. One of them was so inspired by the YouTube show 7 vs. Wild, especially by the first season, that he wanted to try it himself. So, he took a camera and equipment and, with his 124 subscribers, set off on his YouTube channel into the forests of Sweden.
The Twitch streamer Trymacs participated in the YouTube show 7 vs. Wild:
“That’s all 10 Euros from LIDL”
Which rule did the YouTuber have to break? One of the important rules from the first season of 7 vs. Wild was that a total of 7 items for survival were to be taken. However, Viva Infinita brought 10 items:
- Sleeping mat
- Fishing rod
- Bait
- Knife
- Cup
- Paracord
- Fire steel
- Hammock
- Sleeping bag
- Tarp
Additionally, there is a first aid kit and technical equipment including the cameras. However, these were not counted in 7 vs. Wild, which is why they are not included here. Regarding his fishing baits, the YouTuber comments: “That’s all 10 Euros from LIDL” (Source: YouTube).
What does the YouTuber experience in Sweden? Of course, the experiences in Sweden are quite harmless compared to the actual YouTube show. After all, the YouTuber is only there for one night.
Upon arriving in Sweden, the YouTuber quickly finds the cave of Fritz Meinecke from the first season. Ironically, he remarks: “I also hope that I don’t accidentally bump into fellow contestants” (Source: YouTube).

Attempts to catch a fish unfortunately fail, so Viva Infinita has to settle for the local blueberries. When he finds a quiet moment in the cave in the evening, he admits that the whole situation is somewhat surreal: “Where just a week ago I was watching Fritz talk, now I’m talking myself, right in the same place. Somehow, I have to grasp that, I think.” (Source: YouTube).
After 24 hours, the trip is over, and the YouTuber is picked up. Overall, it was a successful trip, and Viva Infinita is considering repeating this trip – just in a more elaborate way.
While this YouTuber has a lot of fun with the original concept of 7 vs. Wild, the original is increasingly deviating from the very essence created by founder Fritz Meinecke with new ideas. Recently, a 7 vs. Wild show had to be canceled. You can read more about it here on MeinMMO: 7 vs. Wild also wanted to fill entire halls without Fritz Meinecke; now the organizers are retracting
