Another YouTuber and streamer is stepping out of his comfort zone to become part of a horror movie. Although he is not the first, the community is even more excited.
Which YouTuber is being talked about? The Irish YouTuber and streamer Seán “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin is a well-known face in gaming on YouTube, whose channel grew rapidly in 2013 and now has 31.1 million subscribers. He primarily produces video game content, but has now ventured into a new project, surprising his community on X: “SURPRISE! I am producing an independent horror film.”
Indeed, the YouTuber is working as an executive producer on a new indie horror film called “Godmother,” for which he has already shared an image from the set along with information about the cast and other team members on X.

What kind of horror movie will Godmother be? The filming just recently started on December 2, 2025. The film is about a young couple who wants to spend a romantic weekend in the High Desert of Southern California, but their plans are disrupted by two overly friendly, disturbing retirees with sinister intentions.
The lead role is played by Paige Evans, who plays the 28-year-old artist Theo. She can be seen in the first images of the production, which suggest a ritualistic scene:

However, fans are already excited about this first surprise, which fits perfectly with a past announcement.
