In Call of Duty: Warzone 2 sniper rifles have a muzzle – they no longer take down enemies with one shot if they have all 3 armor plates equipped. If you still want to land nasty one-shot hits at great distances, you don’t even have to sacrifice the primary weapon slot.
In the free battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone 2, sniper weapons are a controversial topic. Headshots – regardless of distance – no longer guarantee that the opponent goes down from the hit.
If the enemy has all 3 armor plates, even a direct hit between the eyes leaves one hit point remaining. This has been discussed by players since release.
However, there is still the possibility of taking out enemies with a well-placed shot. For that, you should check out the rocket launcher “JOKR” – in the right hands, this thing is extremely nasty.

What’s so strong about the JOKR? First of all: You don’t need a primary weapon slot for the JOKR. Even without the perk “Overkill”, the bulky rocket launcher fits into any loadout.
The most important thing, however, is that direct hits on the opponent take out enemies immediately. This generally applies to rocket launchers in Warzone – if a rocket hits the opponent directly, neither armor nor health will remain.
However, the JOKR also has extremely high “splash damage.” That’s the damage caused around the impact point. So if 2 enemies are standing very close together, even double one-shot kills can be possible.
Additionally, the JOKR aims automatically. You just need to lock onto enemy soldiers or vehicles for a moment, and the rocket does the rest. Unlike with a sniper rifle, you won’t have a telltale scope reflection.
For good hits, you need some luck. The rocket launcher works best when the targets are moving very little. Similar to a sniper rifle, you should strike when you haven’t been noticed yet.
Your opponents don’t get a warning when the rocket is on its way. However, players in vehicles know when they are being targeted by a rocket.
What are the disadvantages? Aiming at enemies can take a bit too long in stressful situations. For that, you need a steady hand and some patience – for some player types, that’s just not for them. Also, because the JOKR can only be fired when a target is locked.
Additionally, the rocket flies high after being fired before diving down onto the enemies. So you need open sky above your head or at least a window for the rocket to take off.
For opponents, a similar rule applies. Enemies with a roof over their heads are protected from the JOKR.
Another limitation is the amount of ammunition. You always only have one “round in the chamber” and 6 additional rockets as reserves.
Whether as an enforcer or to prepare for a fight to scare enemies a bit – the JOKR is an extremely powerful tool in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and should not be underestimated.
In general, it’s always good to have a rocket launcher player on your team. Enemy vehicles suddenly become no problem, helicopters yield almost free kills.
