A player finds a small note in Fallout 76 and breaks down in tears

A small item brought a player to tears in Fallout 76. Emotional scenes can hit anyone, but this one is actually nothing special – except for that particular player.

What was that note? On his travels through the wasteland of Appalachia, the player and reddit user rock1m1 found a note. The note is titled “Letter to My Love.”

You can also find the letter in the Bailey family cabin in the north of the Savage Divide, a short distance east of the munitions factory. It is located on a nightstand beside the bed.

In the letter, a Henry writes to his deceased love, Nancy. You can see the screenshots below.

This is why it made the player cry: For rock1m1, the letter was more than just a piece of paper in the game world. He lost the love of his life about seven months ago.

He met his girlfriend and quickly got her into video games. They played together, including Fallout 76, for which she even wanted to buy a new gaming PC. Earlier, they often wrote each other little texts.

Shortly after the release of Fallout 76, however, his girlfriend succumbed to a severe muscle disease in December 2018, about seven months ago. Since then, he had little joy in playing. But when he found this note that almost perfectly described his situation, he broke down in tears.
