In Void Crew, you control your own spaceship together with friends and fight in space battles. The title is already very well received among players on Steam.
What kind of game is this? The developers describe Void Crew as a “chaotic cooperative roguelite game.” You take a spaceship, gather your crew, and fight in space battles against a mysterious threat.
After a little over a year in Early Access, the update to version 1.0 was released on November 25. For this milestone, you can get the game on Steam for €20 instead of €25. However, this offer is only valid until December 4, 2024.

Division of labor in space
How does Void Crew play? Before you dive into one of the missions, you choose a spaceship. It should ideally match the size of your crew. For solo players, a more compact model is recommended, allowing you to switch stations quickly. Next, you select your talents.
There are four talent trees, each supporting different roles:
- The pilot controls the spaceship
- The engineer keeps it running
- The gunner sits at the guns
- The scavenger uses their grappling hook to leave the spaceship and loot wrecks
When selecting your talents, you are not restricted to one class: If you prefer to have a wide range, you can draw from any talent tree. However, by doing so, you forgo some powerful abilities that are only available late in the individual talent trees.
Once you are done with your preparation, you take the Void Jump. There, you choose your next destination on a map, and you can select from three random missions. These differ in difficulty and range from escort missions to locating and destroying enemy spaceships.
Best enjoyed cooperatively with friends
How is the game being received currently? Out of over 3,000 user reviews on Steam, 88% are positive. Many players are absolutely thrilled, although some report technical issues. Most recommend the game for cooperative players, even though it can test a friendship here and there.
