Tanks in World of Warcraft have it tough. How hard the entry can be is impressively shown in a graphic.
Some seem not to understand, why there are so few tanks in World of Warcraft and complain that as a DPS character, they have to wait so long. To answer exactly this question, the Reddit user crunchyitizemecapn99 created a small image with the title: “This is what happens in the brain of a new tank as the countdown reaches 0” – meaning as soon as the dungeon timer starts.
What is this graphic about? The graphic is a composite of the Tazavesh dungeon map combined with the features of the addon “MDT – Method Dungeon Tools”, where you can color-code and summarize groups to determine the order of pulls (i.e., consecutive fights). Additionally, some meme graphics are included, such as the face of Xal’atath, indicating that one has to keep an eye on the active affix while also knowing the patrol routes upfront.
Tanks need to know everything – and that’s simply too much
This is how the community sees it: The community finds the example of the Tazavesh dungeon not so well chosen – after all, it is currently one of the easier dungeons – but the fundamental problem is illustrated well. In the comments, it says:

Tanks have to sacrifice a lot of time to fulfill their role well. Time that many cannot or do not want to invest due to negative experiences with others. If Blizzard does not make tanking more attractive and intuitive, the tank shortage in WoW will likely continue for quite a while. Perhaps Blizzard has some fresh ideas for the upcoming expansion Midnight.
