Many players are excited about the respawn mechanic “Gulag” in CoD: Warzone. However, one feature is annoying: the stun grenades.
What is the problem? The stun grenades in the Gulag are a thorn in the side for some players in CoD: Warzone. Some say that they require no skill and essentially lead directly to death. Without them, the Gulag would be much better. There are threads on Reddit and Twitter that describe the issues some players are facing.
What is the Gulag? When you die in Call of Duty: Warzone, you are not immediately dead, but first land in the Gulag. A sort of prison where fallen players face off against each other in a 1v1. Whoever wins the direct duel against another player gets to return to the map and rejoin the match. However, this is only possible until a certain point in a match is reached. The Gulag is Warzone’s best BR idea. Even though the grenades annoy some people.
Some are annoyed by the stun grenade, while others are satisfied
This is what the discussions revolve around: Players demand that the stun grenade in the Gulag be disabled. Because here, players receive a random loadout. When stun grenades are included in the loadout, players get frustrated quickly, as Dexerto reports.
Those affected are stunned for a few seconds and can then be easily shot by the opponent, players explain. Additionally, controller players have an advantage here.
Player Fit_And_Local writes on Reddit that the Gulag should be solely based on weapons, grenades would diminish the quality of the feature. Alternatively, the stun duration of the grenade should be reduced.
Tigermanner writes on Reddit that the stun grenade in the Gulag requires “0 skill”.
Reddit user musaiya01 claims that the stun grenades in the Gulag are “overpowered” and a “dumb idea”.
GuyOw writes on Reddit that it “feels like the first person to throw a stun grenade wins”.

There are also calls on Twitter for their removal:
What do the supporters say? On Reddit, one player says “You see, I agree with claymores and grenades, because grenades can be easily avoided.”
Others explain that there are ways to counter the grenades.
If you would just rush instead of camping, the grenades would be less of a problem.
What do you think? Do the stun grenades in the Gulag bother you or do you think it’s good that they are there? Just in case, you still have this trick that gives you a big advantage in the Gulag.
