The Twitch streamer Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler has a clip that still haunts him today. Now he clarifies the background behind it.
What kind of clip is it? Trymacs visited the Twitch streamer MontanaBlack four years ago. MontanaBlack offered him a drink, to which Trymacs said he would like a Coke Zero.
However, MontanaBlack didn’t have that. Trymacs then pointed to the drink that MontanaBlack was currently drinking and asked what that was. It was a regular Coke, which surprised Trymacs. His reaction made this clip the legendary Coke clip from Trymacs.

What makes the clip so special? The exaggerated reaction, the elongation of the word “Cola” has become a meme within the Twitch community and is regularly repeated. There is always laughter about it.
Thus, some of the comments under the scene question the sanity of the Twitch streamer:

When Trymacs recently visited MontanaBlack again, he said: “People still shout that to me on the street today. It’s crazy. (…) That happened, then (…) it chilled for two or three years and somehow it totally took off again through TikTok.” (via TikTok).
Now Trymacs clarified the background behind why he was so surprised about the bottle of Coke.
“I was shocked”
What is behind the Coke clip? At the time the clip was created, Coca Cola had changed the design of their bottles. This led to the designs of the regular Coke variety and Coke Zero looking almost identical.
Trymacs says with a dry tone: “I was shocked. All of a sudden, Coke looks like Coke Zero” (via YouTube).
How does the community react? The community doesn’t seem to care so much about why Trymacs reacted the way he did. The clip apparently retains its legendary status nonetheless:
