What is the problem with the graphics card? The weak point of the RX 6500 XT is the video memory, which is only 4 GB. Video memory (VRAM) is needed for textures, anti-aliasing, and other graphical functions. Video memory also plays a significant role in ray tracing.
Actually, a graphics card with 4 GB of video memory is no longer considered future-proof today. But for many users who just want to game and don’t care about ray tracing at first, the RX 6500 XT might be the opportunity to buy a graphics card at the MSRP.
For whom is the graphics card worth it? The graphics card is primarily aimed at beginners and casual gamers, not enthusiasts who want to play at the absolute maximum. For everyone else looking for a speedy graphics card for their computer, wanting ray tracing, or looking for a graphics card for the coming years, the RX 6500 XT would likely be disappointing.
