The next big action RPG from China could come sooner than expected. Some players are actually quite desperate about it.
Which game is being referred to? We are talking about Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. This is an action role-playing game set in 17th century China. We reported on the game back in October 2024. At that time, it was only stated that the game was supposed to be released sometime in 2025.
Now there is a concrete release date: As a new trailer reveals, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is set to be released on July 24, 2025. This means the action RPG is coming earlier than many assumed. Additionally, it fits into a pretty packed year.

The year 2025 is already full of highlights

What is the game about? Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is set in China in the year 1647. The Ming Dynasty has just fallen, and the inhabitants of the empire suffer from a mysterious disease that turns them into monsters. You play as Wuchang: An experienced pirate warrior who wants to bring her deceased sister back to life.
The new trailer shows an entire boss battle. In this battle, you encounter a bride who seems to be infested by some kind of parasite. She moves quite gracefully through the arena and strikes quickly – just as quickly Wuchang dodges and parries the attacks of her opponent.
The battle shown excites many for more. Avalanste writes (via YouTube): “Holy shit, the fight looks so polished – this has absolutely nothing to do with the first trailer.” leandromiguel4481 meanwhile finds: “Damn, Asian developers are really delivering right now”
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will be released for PC on Steam and in the Epic Games Store, as well as for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, the game will be included in the Xbox Game Pass.
