Those who have indulged in the gold-adorned Trader Brutosaurus for a lot of money in World of Warcraft certainly want to make use of the two NPCs that grant access to the mailbox and auction house extensively. But what to do when the two helpers suddenly disappear?
What kind of mount is this? When the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft started in October 2024, the developers treated themselves to a gift: a mount costing almost 80 euros, which is only supposed to be sold for a limited time. Even on the launch day, it was clear: The luxury mount is a mega success for Blizzard.
The special features of the gold-adorned Trader Brutosaurus include two NPCs offering unique services. While one grants you mobile access to the auction house, the second helper acts as a useful mailman – and all of this wherever you are allowed to summon mounts. For comparable alternatives, some WoW players have dug very deep into their gold pockets.

What to do when the NPCs disappear? One of the many buyers of the luxury mount recently posted on Reddit to express his sorrow: After investing $90 in the mount, the two NPCs simply disappeared. What to do? Did he spend the big money for nothing? The community shows its silly, but also helpful side:
- N0x1mus jokes on Reddit: “If you sent them away, you have to pay another $90 to get them back.”
- Fynzou assists on Reddit with advice: “They can be removed. If this happens to you and you haven’t removed them yourself, it’s because you have the torch effect of the secrets active. Right-click on the buff – for some reason it removes them automatically.”
- yawn_oink adds on Reddit: “This has happened to me frequently lately when I completed harvest events […] Right after finishing the event, the vendors (Yaks, Bears, Brutos) for all mounts didn’t load, and neither did the dynamic flight action bar.”
- Ele7237 wonders on Reddit: “I didn’t even know these mount traders could be removed. After 20 years, I’m still learning new things.”
So how do I get the traders back? Basically, it should help if you dismount (causing the mount to disappear) and then summon the mount again. However, in yawn_oink’s bug, sometimes even logging back into WoW was necessary. Sometimes the traders appeared if you waited a minute or two after dismounting and then summoned the mount.
