Gloria Victis

What kind of game is this? Gloria Victis is a sandbox MMORPG where you have to seek your own content. The medieval game world is dark and brutal. PvP is an important element:
- The game does without classes. Instead, you level up skills.
- It uses an action-packed combat system reminiscent of Mount & Blade, where you have to aim yourself.
- A core element of Gloria Victis is the besieging and conquering of castles. Once in possession, you can further expand the castles and must also pay attention to the morale of your inhabitants. This is aided by food, but also beer and schnapps.
- There are PvE content like group quests, events and raids.
- Crafting with 15 different professions plays an important role.
- In principle, PvP is possible everywhere in the game. There are 3 nations, and you can join one of them. These players are your friends, and the other two are your enemies. In most areas, there is a “No Loot” rule. However, in some regions, you can lose one piece of equipment per death to another player.
- Additionally, there are 1v1 arenas to prove your own skill.
Who is it interesting for? Gloria Victis is primarily aimed at PvP and medieval fans who do not place a big focus on graphics. While there was a graphics update in 2022, you can still see that the game is developed by an indie team from Poland.
How is it performing currently? After the release, the number of players first rose noticeably. Previously, around 500 people played simultaneously during peak times, but a few days after the release, it was over 4,100. However, the trend did not continue.
In September 2023, the developers announced that they were exhausted and had decided, especially for financial reasons, to shut down the servers of the MMORPG on October 31, 2023.
Summoners War: Chronicles

What kind of game is this? In Summoners War: Chronicles, you choose one of three playable characters, the so-called Summoners, each of whom has a unique role and brings their own skill set.
- Cleave is a tank and fights in close combat
- Oriba is a ranged damage dealer
- Kina takes on the role of a healer
With your character, you have the opportunity to summon various monsters in the game and form a team with them. In total, there are said to be over 350 different monsters that accompany you on the battlefield and to whom you can give commands.
Otherwise, the game relies on an action combat system and typical MMORPG elements like quests, dungeons, and raids. However, it feels more like a hero collector than a classic MMORPG.
Who is it interesting for? Those who have already played other games from the “Summoners War” series will feel right at home here. Even some characters from other titles can be found here. Otherwise, the MMORPG is primarily aimed at people who enjoy collecting characters, like in Genshin Impact, but with a greater focus on multiplayer.
Additionally, you need to have a fondness for constant rewards and pop-ups. There are rewards for daily logins, daily playtimes every five to 60 minutes, achievements, level-ups, daily and weekly challenges, seasonal events, and two battle passes.
How is it performing currently? The MMORPG launched strongly on Steam with nearly 40,000 concurrent players. Almost four months later, around 8,000 were still logging in simultaneously at peak times. Currently, the daily peak is approximately 1,600 active players simultaneously
The reviews are 77 percent positive with around 11,618 opinions submitted. The 40 reviews from the last 30 days are also at “Mostly Positive” with 77 percent positive ratings. The main criticisms are directed at the payment model, the gacha elements, and the noticeable mobile game roots.
