Ketheric Thorm
- Location: Peak of the Towers of the Moonrise, Mind Flayer Colony (Act 3)
- Checks: (If the letter from his wife is found) Persuasion, Intimidation (considerably harder – DC 30)
Even the main boss and head of the Thorm family, Ketheric Thorm, cannot completely resist the player’s words. While his fight is not entirely avoidable and it is not easy to convince him, you can make Ketheric skip some parts of the fight.
To do this, you must find the letter from his wife in his bedroom, through which you can eventually find the right words. At the peak of the Towers of the Moonrise, you can make Ketheric surrender with a successful roll.
He will not remain in this state when you later find him in the Mind Flayer Colony, but there you can make another roll. If successful, you can skip the fight against Ketheric and face the Apostle of Myrkul instead.
