What kind of games are these? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a shooter that offers you a full single-player campaign and many multiplayer modes.
Call of Duty: Warzone is the free Battle Royale to Modern Warfare. In it, up to 150 players fight on a huge map and can utilize various firearms and vehicles.
Although Warzone is part of Modern Warfare, the game can also be played as a standalone free-to-play version. However, you’re still required to pay for Modern Warfare.
These are the highlights of the shooters
Warzone offers you some features compared to other battle royale games:
- The participant count is slightly higher than usual with 150 players. In the future, up to 200 players will be able to join a match.
- You start directly with pre-made loadouts.
- Through the Gulag, you can fight your way back into the match even if you’ve already been killed.
- You can purchase killstreaks, special abilities such as airstrikes or a radar display, in the game mode.
- Warzone offers crossplay between different platforms.
Modern Warfare, on the other hand, places special accents in the various multiplayer modes and is played more competitively. The big CoD league will take place here soon.
Why should you play CoD: Warzone and MW in August?
Season 5 starts in both shooters on August 5. There, you can expect two new operators, new weapons, and a new faction in the game that further develops the story.
Additionally, there will be a battle pass with 100 levels. This comes in both a free and a paid version. In this article, we explain who the CoD: Modern Warfare battle pass is worth it for.
