What is it about? A picture was published in the PS4 subreddit showing the PS4 games with the most players. It concerns the total number of players for each game.
Where do the data come from? The data come from Gamstat.com, so these are not official data from Sony itself.
- The figures from Gamestat are based, according to their own statements, on a representative sample of around 8 million PSN accounts that are retrieved via an interface. The data is then extrapolated with an error rate to all PSN accounts.
- Sony also accidentally published specific figures for all PS4 titles related to “MyPS4Life” (via arstechnica.com). Gamestat.com also uses these figures to generate their numbers.
- A third factor includes the achievements. By correlating the trophy percentages with the total number of players, a figure can be calculated.

10. FIFA 19 (36.6 million)

What kind of game is this? FIFA 19 is a sports simulation from EA Sports. Compared to FIFA 18, it offered a lot of new features. Among the most important innovations back then were new licenses.
