Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet
What kind of series is this? Workplace sitcoms have been a massive hit since The Office. You always have the atmosphere of observing a group as they experience “everyday” adventures together. A series that fits even more into the party vibe with a fantasy twist is Mythic Quest.
The sitcom follows a team of video game developers who are creating an MMORPG. Chaos and exaggerated dialogues make the office of developers seem lively. If you’re in the mood for video game comedy with a certain team spirit, you should keep an eye on Mythic Quest.
Bonus: Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
What kind of film is this? As a little closing bonus, there’s the latest film in the DnD universe from this year. DnD: Honor Among Thieves follows the bard Edgin Darvis, who was betrayed by a partner in the past. To save his daughter, he must reunite his old crew.
The crew consists of a barbarian, a druid, and a wizard, and even here, the team dynamic is the star of the film. The film presents itself as a heist in the style of Oceans 11 and provides many laughs. Chris Pine also shines as the charming protagonist, and you can see his enjoyment in playing.
MeinMMO editor Benedikt Schlotmann is also a big fan of films and has written:
The new “Dungeons & Dragons” film is a must for every gamer and MMORPG fan
As you can see, there is a lot of animation in our list, but it varies greatly when watching. You can also of course check out the classic fantasy series and films, but we wanted to show some inconspicuous candidates for such an atmosphere.
Feel free to share your recommendations that might not be purely fantasy in the comments.
