Fortnite
Genre: Shooter | Developer: Epic | Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Android, Switch | Release Date: July 25, 2017 | Model: Free2Play
What kind of game is this? Fortnite is a colorful battle-royale shooter from Epic Games. Originally, it was only intended as a spin-off of the PvE main game, which now hardly plays a role.
Rather, the battle-royale mode is constantly being developed and regularly receives new seasons with new content. The big unique feature in Fortnite is the constantly changing game environment, continuous updates, and game mechanics that allow you to harvest resources and build structures.
These are the highlights of Fortnite
The 2nd season of Chapter 3 of Fortnite recently started. The theme is a military invasion of the game world by a sinister organization. Since the scenario resembles the war in Ukraine, the developers donated a large portion of the initial earnings to charity organizations.
The highlights of the new update in season 2 are:
- A temporary (?) shutdown of building
- Powerful tanks and buses as vehicles
- New weapons
- A new battle pass, including new Marvel skins
Why you should play Fortnite in April
The major novelty of the new season is the absence of the building mode. Building was technically a unique feature of Fortnite, and only those who mastered it could regularly hope for a victory.
However, building was also disliked by many players, especially when so-called “sweats” exploded into furious building activity and erected whole fortresses in seconds during every firefight.
Due to the lack of building, the cards are being reshuffled, and many players are celebrating it. Among them are our shooter expert Maik Schneider, as well as former top Fortnite streamers like Ninja and Tfue.
So if you want to experience Fortnite in a completely different way and ideally never got the hang of building, this is now the perfect time to start (or restart) the game.
