ARK: Survival Evolved launches with the Genesis DLC Part 1 on February 25 for the second to last round. Part 2 is planned for late 2020. The expansion introduces many new dinos. We will tell you which ones you should definitely tame.
In the dino-survival MMO ARK: Survival Evolved, there are now countless dinos and other creatures that you can fight and tame.
With the Genesis DLC, not only the really crazy story continues, but also new creatures or further variants of already known species await you. We will introduce you to 5 of them in detail.
Astrocetus
The Astrocetus or space whale is one of the largest new creatures in Genesis. As the name suggests, it is a gigantic whale that lives in space and can fly. Its territory is the Lunar Biome, an area on the moon.
The Astrocetus can be tamed only a few times per server, similar to the Titanosaurus. It can fly and teleport through space. On its saddle, there are 3 mounted turrets, and it has a bomber mode that allows you to destroy enemy bases.

Bloodstalker
The Bloodstalker is a supportive spider creature, almost like armor. Once tamed, it wraps around your body and enhances your visual perception. With a spider thread, you can quickly swing from point A to B, feeling like Spiderman.
Other players can also be ensnared by the thread, and equipped with a weapon, you have a higher vantage point than others. The perfect biological armor.
The Bloodstalker was already available in the Winter Wonderland Event 2019 as a chibi version. There, it was known as Chibi-Bog-Spider.

Ferox
The cute furry creatures called Ferox are quite impressive. As a pet that you can carry on your shoulder, it helps you in finding Element. If you feed the Ferox Element, it transforms as seen in the Genesis trailer starting at minute 00:53.
In its aggressive form, you can use it as a mount and tackle any terrain. It can also climb steep cliffs. With its attacks, it can throw hostile riders off their mounts.

Giant Turtle Megachelon
The giant turtle is perfect for nomads who prefer the sea. It is the first creature in ARK that allows you to establish an underwater base on a dino.
Due to a natural air bubble, players and dinos have enough oxygen, and hostile creatures are prevented from intruding. You also don’t need an expensive platform saddle.

Magmasaur
The Magmasaur is a large fiery magma lizard. Its meteor-like attack and fire breath are very dangerous, if not deadly, to players and dinos. Once tamed, the Magmasaur is a powerful weapon that withstands high temperatures. It can even swim in lava.
Its only weaknesses are cold, water, and rain. Thus, the Magmasaur is the second creature in ARK that is directly affected by temperature. You can also use it as a mobile forge and cooking station.
