Tasha

Wherever Mordenkainen is, Tasha (or Natasha) is usually not far away. For she is not only one of his only serious competitors but also a good friend. She too is an extremely powerful archmage who readily challenges him to a game of chess.
Tasha is the adopted daughter of the infamous witch Baba Yaga and has a long, often dark history that includes experimenting with demonic magic and forging pacts with demon lords like the famous Graz’zt.
Throughout the stories surrounding Dungeons & Dragons, she has had many names and has been known as Iggwilv, the Witch Queen of Perrenland, or Zybilna, who you can meet in the campaign book “The Wild Beyond the Witchlight” (original title: “The Wild Beyond the Witchlight”) where she plays a central role.
Her immense power stems from her deep and often ruthless pursuit of arcane knowledge. Tasha is a master of magic, known for inventing numerous iconic spells, such as “Tasha’s Hideous Laughter,” “Tasha’s Caustic Brew,” or “Tasha’s Mindwhip,” but also for creating powerful magical artifacts and exploring interplanar travel and demonology.
She is the author of the notorious demonology treatise, a fictional book full of demonic lore and summoning rituals, which underscores her expertise and control over demonic forces. Her abilities extend far beyond those of an ordinary wizard, and she can contend with the most powerful beings in the multiverse, often through a combination of brilliant intelligence, ruthless ambition, and sheer arcane power.
Her name is firmly established in the game rules due to her many spells, and she has also become the title character of one of the most well-known supplemental rulebooks of the 5th Edition: “Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything.” She too is among the notorious “planeswalkers” who can travel between the planes.
