The Battle Royale Warzone is getting a new map and many fresh weapons after the transition to the graphics engine of Call of Duty: Vanguard. MeinMMO has taken a look at the arsenal of the new CoD and discovered 3 weapons that could wreak havoc in Warzone.
With the new Call of Duty: Vanguard, not only is the new CoD generation starting – a lot is changing in the Battle Royale Warzone this year, including almost 40 new weapons.
As Warzone also adopts the graphics engine of Vanguard, the weapons currently played in multiplayer will likely be carried over to Warzone. We have sifted through the weapon stats and show you 3 firearms that should be enjoyable in Warzone.
1. Assault Rifle BAR – Stable and Powerful
What kind of weapon is the BAR? The assault rifle is calm and has a very low rate of fire. However, this helps with control, and the BAR is the easiest assault rifle to handle.
What makes it so strong? Assault rifles with pleasant recoil have always been a case for Warzone. But the BAR also offers you a ammunition conversion that increases the base damage to 68 per hit. With a fire rate of about 360 rounds/minute, the BAR achieves a time-to-kill of 495 milliseconds, placing it second among assault rifle TTKs.
Only the AS VAL with its mini-magazines would be stronger, but the BAR has a similar issue – with this ammunition, you only have a maximum of 30 rounds in the magazine.
2. Sniper Three-Line Rifle – 2 Shots to the Chest
What kind of weapon is the Three-Line Rifle? The sniper rifle is the slowest sniper of Vanguard and shines with high lethality even on body shots.
What makes it so strong? Exciting for Warzone could particularly be a crazy magazine. The “.30-06 20-round magazine” increases the base damage of the weapon to 128 per hit, and it only takes 2 shots to the chest, possibly even to the belly, to drop enemies. Headshots should also deliver a one-shot kill as usual.
Additionally, the magazine holds 20 rounds, giving you a lot of time before you need to reload. The downside is the slow rate of fire – even though you only need 2 hits, the time-to-kill is 1.5 seconds.
3. LMG DP27 – Shaky but Deadly
What kind of weapon is the DP27? The machine gun is a unruly beast with considerable damage and the iconic top-mounted drum magazines.
What makes it so strong? Even with our third discovery, it is an ammunition conversion that provides the decisive boost. With the “.30-06 Drum Magazine (81 rounds)” you deal 42 damage per hit with a fire rate of nearly 730 rounds/minute. The time-to-kill is therefore at a very strong 410 milliseconds.
However, the DP27 comes with considerable recoil for this damage. It remains to be seen whether the difficult control is worth the high damage.
How the weapon meta will change after the transition to the Vanguard engine cannot be predicted with certainty yet. It is clear that the 40 new weapons will cause a stir, and especially the many customization options with 10 attachments at the same time and the new types of ammunition present a powder keg for the meta. We will see if the keg blows up.
