If you want to survive long in the Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone or loot effectively, you need to be fast. We will show you some tips to help you move faster around the map while dodging bullets.
What are these tips? The tips will help you to be faster even without the various vehicles in Warzone. They especially focus on helping you reach other locations on foot faster without being taken down by opponents.
You don’t need any special requirements or settings for these tricks. Anyone can easily replicate them. However, having the right settings for Warzone can help you perform them better or react faster.
The YouTuber and CoD specialist TheXclusiveAce has packed these tips into a YouTube video and illustrated them. We have embedded the video here for you:
Tip 1: Use light weapons
Why should I use light weapons? In Modern Warfare, both in Warzone and in the other multiplayer modes, your movement speed depends on the weapon you have equipped.
Generally speaking: The smaller or lighter the weapon, the faster you move. When you sprint, you have 1.3 times the movement speed. With tactical sprinting (double-tapping the button) even the 1.5 times for a short time.
The multipliers refer to the base speed you have with the respective weapon. Only the weapon you have equipped counts. The weapons in your inventory are ignored.
What weapons are recommended? You are fastest with any type of pistol. Therefore, it’s advisable to have one of the strongest weapons for Warzone in your main hand and carry a pistol in your secondary hand. We can recommend:
- .50 GS (Desert Eagle) for strong penetration even at longer distances
- .357 as an alternative to the Desert Eagle
- X16 – The strongest weapon of its kind in regular multiplayer
If you don’t want to carry a pistol in your secondary hand, submachine guns (SMGs) are a suitable alternative. It’s best to build a loadout that utilizes one of the mentioned weapons and buy it as early as possible to be faster.
Tip 2: Slide
How do I slide? When you are sprinting and press (or hold, depending on settings) the “crouch” button, you will slide for a brief moment. This allows you to glide over the terrain and interrupt your sprint.
The special thing is that after sliding you can activate tactical sprint again for a short time. It usually has to recharge after use.
However, TheXclusiveAce has found that this does not make you faster. Over a distance of 188 meters (half a grid square of the map), he takes exactly as much time as if he were sprinting normally.
What is the point then? The advantage is that during the slide, you shift your critical hit zone (head) in a fraction of a second, as well as completely change your hitbox (from vertical to horizontal).
This leads to opponents being able to hit you less effectively. You effectively dodge bullets that a sniper is about to fire at you. If you alternate between sliding and sprinting at irregular intervals, it will be even harder for them to hit you.
Tip 3: The “Pro Method”
How does the method work? Ace discovered a method in his video that he has seen many CoD professionals using. In principle, it works just like the sliding from tip 2.
The difference is that immediately after sliding, you go briefly into aim down sights (ADS). This only needs to be a quick moment. This interrupts the delay after sprinting.
This makes you effectively faster. Ace was able to move 6.6% faster with this trick. If you want to reduce the time it takes to aim, you can find attachments that reduce ADS time here.
What is the downside? The implementation is, on one hand, a bit more complicated and, on the other hand, takes some getting used to. Especially at the beginning, you may need to concentrate a lot just to sprint correctly.
In this time, it can happen that you overlook opponents or run into traps. Until then, it may be frustrating to adjust. However, after a while, the method should become second nature.
These tips should help you to be faster and safer on the move. However, they will only help if you need them in the current situation. If you simply want to reach a new location and are not under fire or pressure, it is sufficient to sprint normally. If you want to secure the victory, they will help you nonetheless – just like our 10 tips for Warzone.
