After a small teaser for the next season of Call of Duty: Warzone appeared yesterday (July 21), a CoD streamer has once again shown such a short film today. This makes 3 map leaks significantly more likely.
What are these mini-teasers? To further stir up the rumors surrounding Season 5, Call of Duty: Warzone is taking a new approach. They are passing on arranged “leaks” to well-known CoD streamers, who then show them dramatically to their followers and CoD fans.
A win-win situation: CoD saves on marketing, and the streamers benefit from the high attention.
After yesterday “Nickmercs” showed a short teaser with a train, it was now Tyler “TeePee” Polchow, a former CoD pro, who presented the next mini video.
Mini-teasers Make 3 Older Leaks Seem Plausible
What does the teaser show? The new video shows a short scene from a video camera that likely captures the interior of the stadium. A bang is heard, and a shockwave is seen moving through the image, destroying the camera afterward. The clip ends with a “NO SIGNAL” screen:
In yesterday’s teaser, the view from the cockpit of one of the trains in Verdansk was visible. A helicopter flies by, and then the microphone of the train is heard:
Even without further background information, the videos seem exciting. Both clips show the supposed release date of Season 5 at the top of the screen, which closely connects the teasers with the new season. However, if one looks at the previous leaks, things get really interesting.
Which leaks are now more likely? In mid-June, nearly simultaneously with the launch of Season 4, 3 new leaks for Warzone appeared:
- Changes inside the stadium
- A potential underground train system
- New nuclear missile in Bunker 10
Some players “glitched” into the interior of the stadium and discovered that with the new season, the interior of the football temple has been expanded. An official image of Warzone heats up the rumors about the stadium further, as it shows an open stadium roof in the background.
That trains could play a role in the next season has been a speculation since the leak. Back then, speculations went towards an “underground system” that could quickly move soldiers through Verdansk.
The story of the bunkers has been following players since the release. With the mid-season update of Season 3, it became possible to enter some of the bunkers. One of the bunkers, Bunker 11, only opens if you solve a large puzzle that sends you all around the Warzone map. There is even a weapon blueprint as a reward for this. In Bunker 10 and 11, players found clues about nuclear bombs, which were seen as a good opportunity to shake up the Warzone map a bit.
Stadium, Trains, Nuclear Bomb – What Could Happen
What could happen with the stadium? The area of the stadium is currently a rather boring zone. A tourist highlight in Verdansk that a diligent janitor has securely locked to prevent looters from tripping over the freshly mowed grass before evacuation.
The stadium could open with the next season, establishing an interesting combat zone with many rooms and levels, similar to “Prison” southeast on the map, only right in the combat area.
What could happen with the train? That the trains are operating underground is currently considered unlikely. Rather, it is suspected that this is a loot train that could be looted and used for transportation.
There is now also a complete railway line that the train could travel. The train from the mini teaser by “Nickmercs” is located near the “Train Station”.

What is going on with the bomb? When the story about the nuclear bomb emerged, many players and leakers speculated that Verdansk would be completely destroyed and replaced with a new map. After a developer stated that they still have much planned for Verdansk, this speculation was more or less put to rest.
The rumor of a breaking dam has been more persistent. In the teaser by “TeePee”, a shockwave is clearly seen, which could come from an explosion. This makes devastation or changes to the Warzone map due to brutal destruction more likely again. A dam break or map adjustments due to an explosion could provide a plausible explanation for the changes in zones to renew Verdansk without completely discarding the entire map.
How could the three fit together? In an interview with the American gaming site “Gamespot”, developers of Warzone revealed that they want to bring more of the crazy in-match events to players.
All three points could be interpreted as fitting into one of these in-match events:
- The stadium opens, and soldiers fight for a bonus that waits deep inside the stadium for the first players who grab the item. Perhaps a Juggernaut suit, which has already been featured in Warzone.
- A train event where the train makes its way and takes a round around the Verdansk railway line.
- A bomb event where players must quickly reach the next bunker to continue participating in the match, as they would otherwise be eliminated by the explosion. After that, there might be poor visibility due to dust in the air.
However, it is still completely unclear how the new elements will affect gameplay or the Warzone map. It seems certain that with Season 5, you can expect something new in the battle royale. From a permanent map change to new “in-match events” seems currently everything possible. If there are new updates, we will keep you informed on MeinMMO.
