Thanks to the Uber Eats app, you can not only provide yourself with food but also your game characters in World of Warcraft. The food delivery app has partnered with Blizzard to develop a Warcraft courier.
What is Uber Eats? Uber Eats is a food delivery app. It connects restaurants, consumers, and couriers to ensure that food arrives at its destination as quickly as possible. Uber Eats is available in over 70 cities in Germany.
Recently, the service launched in Moers, Recklinghausen, and Siegen and is now also arriving in the virtual world of Azeroth, the home of World of Warcraft. You can find out more at uber.com.
What is the Warcraft courier all about? Uber Eats and Blizzard have teamed up to temporarily introduce a character named Orderyn in World of Warcraft. Orderyn is a heroic character who delivers food to players in the game and assists them in their adventures.
The name is surely inspired by “order,” which means “to order” in German.

How does the Warcraft courier work? Starting in June, well-known influencers like “jessirocks,” “Tinkerleo,” and “metashi12” will take on the role of Orderyn. Users can message Orderyn directly in the game and order food for their characters, which he will then deliver.
On the following dates, the streamers will step into the role of Orderyn:
- Tinkerleo: June 18, 4 PM
- Jessirocks: June 19, 5 PM
- Metashi12: June 22, 12 PM
There will also be livestream giveaways where you can win vouchers for Uber Eats. A tweet from Warcraft_DE suggests that additional rewards can be secured in World of Warcraft.
“If there are cosmetics, expect some backlash”
How does the community react? Divided. One user writes that they are happy and already feel hungry. Many respond with question marks to the announcement. Many seem unable to understand it.
The user theKazui2 writes about the tweet from June 9: “I hope this stays at just 7 days of gameplay for a €10 order. If there are cosmetics, mounts, or anything else, expect some backlash. I, for example, couldn’t even have anything delivered because there’s nothing for me and the money isn’t worth it.”
Overall, very few users have reacted to the tweets, and the streamers have not mentioned anything about it on Twitter yet. So, it remains to be seen how the action will be received.
