94 and 93 percent positive – those are the current average ratings of Little Nightmares (from 2017, on Steam) and Little Nightmares II (from 2021, on Steam). The small but fine horror adventures certainly have an enthusiastic fan base that is likely looking forward to the upcoming release of the third part.
This time, you control friends Low and Alone (yes, there is optional co-op) to lead them out of a nightmarish yet very atmospheric world. Similar to It Takes Two, both characters have different gadgets that help in mastering the platforming sections.
You can also expect some puzzles, but also the well-known hide-and-seek games or chase sequences from the series. To ensure it also works solo, the AI will take over your companion when no second player is logged in. By the way, the predecessors can occasionally be obtained at bargain prices: For PS5, you can currently get an engaging horror game for €10 – “The story is incredible and the graphics are great”
