Silent Hill f
Genre: Survival-Horror | Release: September 25, 2025 | Platform: PS5, PC (Steam) | Developer: NeoBards / Konami | USK: From 18 | Model and Price: €79.99
Silent Hill is one of the classics of the first PlayStation and has taught an entire generation of players to fear with its impenetrable fog, the radio noise announcing threats, the nightmarish parallel world, and the gripping story surrounding the eponymous city.
More than 25 years later, we look back at a multitude of sequels, spin-offs, and film adaptations. Not everything has been as good and memorable as the early parts of the series. It’s therefore not surprising that the remake of Silent Hill 2 from 2024 quickly reached the top of the most pre-ordered new releases for PS5.
The good news: The new Silent Hill f seems to be getting many things right. At least the colleagues at GameStar showed great anticipation after a gameplay presentation in August. Jonas and Natalie praise the unusual Japanese setting, the incorporation of real themes like family abuse, trauma, or bullying, and the increased focus on action.
Don’t worry: The new installment is not supposed to be an action fest like what happened with Resident Evil in between. Main character Hinako will never become a super fighter, and there aren’t even ranged weapons. However, the survival struggle has been expanded; elements like stamina, weapon durability, the girl’s fear, and the new focus display are said to play an important role.
We keep our fingers crossed that this plan from developer NeoBards works out! If you are generally looking for horror games that you can grab for a small price, check here: Here are 10 horror games on Steam that cost you less than €20
