Do you still remember the MMORPG Grand Fantasia? The game, which is about 11 years old, is returning as a remake – for mobile devices and with new graphics.
What is Grand Fantasia? The anime MMORPG released in 2010 puts you in the role of a fighter, hunter, acolyte, or summoner in a colorful fantasy world. There you will face quests, occasionally cute opponents, and many challenges that you overcome to improve your hero. For larger missions and dungeon runs, you team up with other players. PvP is executed through duels.
Grand Fantasia still runs today, although it no longer offers a modern gaming experience. The developers at X-Legend want to change that now.

A classic returns in new clothes
What does the remake offer? Grand Fantasia Reborn essentially feels like a new game. While it still features anime graphics, they look much more detailed now. Especially the characters and monsters now appear as if they came straight out of an anime. This alone gives the remake the impression of a modern game being released in 2021.
Furthermore, the battles seem to be significantly faster than in the original. They feel like confrontations in a hack and slay. Generally, Grand Fantasia Reborn seems to be more of an action RPG.
The most important change is that the title is now being released for mobile devices, while the original is a PC MMORPG. Whether there will be autoplay is still unclear.
You can tell that X-Level is targeting a different audience with Grand Fantasia Reborn. Mobile gamers who desire faster gameplay while still enjoying good graphics.
When will the game be released? The mobile MMORPG Grand Fantasia Reborn is set to be released in Asia in 2021. An international release has not yet been mentioned. However, the original remains popular among its target audience here, which makes it quite likely that the Reborn version will be released here as well. Whether that will still be the case in 2021 remains to be seen.
