A long time has passed, but finally Caitlyn has received an update in League of Legends after about 10 years. This mainly revolves around the in-game representation of the character.
What kind of character is this? Caitlyn was released with the first season in 2011 (via LoL-Wiki). She is a sharpshooter and is especially strong at long distances, but doesn’t take much damage.
Although she has been revised repeatedly since then, her animations and in-game graphics have remained untouched for nearly 4000 days.
Now Riot Games has swung the update hammer and revised Caitlyn’s visual representation. A video was also released for this:

What exactly was changed? Her standard design has been significantly revamped, according to leaked images, and barely resembles the original design:
- The wide-brimmed purple cylinder of the ADC is no longer visible
- Her petticoat seems to have been removed from the design.
- The character’s dress has also been slightly shortened.
- Her leather straps have been removed and replaced with black stockings.

In addition to the visual changes, her voice lines have also been overhauled. (via YouTube.com)
When will the update for Caitlyn come? The visual overhaul is coming on November 17 with patch 11.22. However, if you want to preview her in the game now, you can also test the patch on the PBE servers.
Shortly before that, the Netflix series based on LoL: Arcane will premiere. It starts on November 13.
What is currently happening in LoL? The biggest esports event of League of Legends, the Worlds 2021, is currently taking place. The finals will be held on November 6, with three of the four teams remaining in the semifinals coming from South Korea.
The teams from Europe and the USA have crashed, which has led to some discussions. Allegedly, a new “super team” is now supposed to emerge in Europe .
