Judas
What is Judas? Judas is a single-player shooter with a story focus developed by the American studio Ghost Story Games. Ghost Story Games operated under the name Irrational Games until 2017 and was founded by Ken Levine. The studio is primarily known for the System Shock and BioShock series.
In Judas, you play the titular protagonist, who is trapped on a decaying spaceship. You will be accompanied by 3 NPCs who regularly appear as holograms near you and participate in conversations – similar to Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. However, they can also intervene in the action and assist you in battle or block an escape route – depending on whether they are currently feeling positively or negatively towards you.
These three characters each have different perspectives, and you will have the freedom to choose whom to support among the three. You will be promised a significant influence on the story’s outcome. Additionally, during the story, you can forge alliances with your enemies and betray them – fitting to the name Judas.
The game features roguelite elements. This means you lose all your items when you die but still have constant progression. To prevent this, you can use various weapons with your right hand. With your left hand, you unleash what is essentially magic.
Dying Light: The Beast
What is Dying Light: The Beast? With Dying Light: The Beast, the Polish developer Techland continues the “Dying Light” series. In the latest installment, you once again take on the role of Kyle Crane, whom you portrayed in the first part.
Dying Light: The Beast, however, takes place many years later. Crane was held captive for over 10 years so that scientists could conduct experiments on him. Now he has managed to escape, and naturally, he wants revenge on his tormentors.
The “Dying Light” players among you are probably wondering what this game is doing on a shooter list. The answer comes from the first trailers. Dying Light: The Beast will offer much more than just melee options. The game also provides you with pistols, flamethrowers, and a crossbow. Additionally, you can drive vehicles across the now more rural map.
FBC: Firebreak
Players: up to 3 players | Subgenre: Co-op Shooter | Mode: PvE | Perspective: First-Person |
What is FBC Firebreak? FBC: Firebreak is a co-op shooter and spin-off to the successful single-player shooter Control. With up to three players, you fight against supernatural attackers and must end the siege of a mysterious federal agency. You also have supernatural abilities but must equip yourself with the right equipment. This includes not only tools but also weapons and grenades.
