Maximilian Paul Karl-Heinz Knabe is one of the most well-known streamers and YouTubers from Germany. His viewers probably know him better as HandOfBlood, Hänno, or Max. As an entrepreneur, he sells his own beverage brand (Knabe Kola), supports promising indie games as a publisher, and backs the esports team Eintracht Spandau.
If Metashi is the WoW Classic face of Sauercrowd and Papaplatte is the technical foundation, then Hänno is the soul of the project. A voice of reason who always tries to illuminate all perspectives and ground the expectations of less experienced participants.
The importance of HandOfBlood for Sauercrowd was noticeable when the streamer was sick and had to take a few days off from daily guild life. There was more unrest in the community. The remaining guild leadership of Metashi and Papaplatte is not only poor at handling such situations immediately.
The two influencers even created bad vibes within the guild and community at times with statements regarding their lack of willingness for further leveling attempts. Only HandOfBlood gave parts of the audience confidence that the project could be led to a successful conclusion. He is certainly the guild leader who has left the best impression to date.
Looking at Hänno’s Twitch channel statistics reveals both light and shadow. The 19,863 new followers in the past 30 days are enough for the top 4 in absolute numbers but represent only a percentage increase of about 1.2 percent due to the streamer’s vast reach.
Additionally, HandOfBlood had one of his strongest Twitch months ever in December 2025. Since the start of the Sauercrowd event, the average viewer count has dropped from 20,233 to 17,017. As strong as January 2026 was – apart from December 2025 – the last time it was like this was January 2024. So this is complaining on very high level.
Many viewers appreciate the visible joy that HandOfBlood has for WoW Classic Hardcore and the project. They also gain many insights into the guild’s organization and the thoughts behind the decisions of the guild leadership. Recently, there was an important decision: The first raid of Sauercrowd has a date; Metashi makes it clear: “We’re going through this together”
