In the history of Counter-Strike 2 and its predecessors, many funny moments have occurred, but what happened last night during the match between Mouz and G2 surpasses everything.
How was the trophy destroyed? As a video on X shows, a spectator was able to run onto the stage and approach the trophy. Several security personnel followed him and tried to drag him to the ground. In the process, the podium on which the trophy was standing was knocked over.
The trophy fell on the spectator who stormed the stage and on the security personnel who were restraining him on the ground.

What kind of spectator is this? The spectator is said to be an employee of a gambling site for Counter-Strike 2 skins. This site competes with another gambling site that sponsored the G2 team, which was competing against the team from Mouz on stage.
The act may have been deliberately committed during this match. On X (formerly Twitter), the founder of the gambling site that conducted the “PR stunt” wrote: “My kick was taken down when the situation escalated. Some of our guys are on the ground in handcuffs. But we made it, damn it, guys.”
The spectator was handed over to the police by the security personnel.

How does the community react to the events? The community is outraged. That the dispute between two gambling sites disrupts one of the most important tournaments of Counter-Strike 2 and that the trophy is damaged goes too far for many.
Some teams withdrew their participation from the tournaments of the gambling site. For example, Sinners Esports, whose CEO wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “To hell with your tournament, we’re out, you fucking bastards.”
