There is a survey live about the future of the The Division, which includes interesting questions.
Next week, the third ETF for The Division will take place. These three letters stand for “Elite Task Force” and describe representatives from the community who will discuss future content with the developers for several days. The entire Year 2 with Updates 1.7 and 1.8 is the topic, with the ETF’s ideas primarily being implemented in 1.8.
Massive also wants to hear your opinion – not just that of the 12 ETF members. A survey has now gone live, where you can provide your feedback on various topics. These topics will be discussed at the ETF workshop.
Changes for old DLCs, more items
Year 2 will bring few entirely new contents. Agents should not expect raids or new story missions. Instead, it is the strategy of the developers to upgrade the existing content and increase replayability in Year 2.
The current survey now gives hints that the three expansions Underground, Survival, and Last Stand could experience innovations.
First, you will be asked to indicate your platform and how long you have been playing The Division. Then it will be about new items. Is it more important to you that the existing items are revised, or do you prefer new ones? Do you want more high-ends, more exotics, or more gear sets?
Next, your opinion on a increase in the maximum gear score and a higher world rank will be queried. Should these possibly only be increased when new activities come?
And then there are detailed questions about the DLCs. What innovations would you like for Underground, Survival, and Last Stand? Here you can, for example, select an Endless Mode for Underground or a “Last Man Standing” mode for Survival.
What? Zombies?
The last question revolves around zombies: Do you want to see zombies in The Division, the developers ask. The answer options are, however, … interesting. The developers definitely haven’t lost their sense of humor. But who knows, maybe a zombie mode is really on the table. After all, it is quite popular in shooters like Call of Duty.
Massive emphasizes that this survey is not a guarantee that the mentioned topics will ever come to the game or are even planned. Nevertheless, they would like to know your opinion on it. Conversely, it also applies: Just because something is not included in this survey does not mean it could not happen soon.
