In the upcoming MMORPG AI:R, airships play a significant role. The developers have now introduced them in more detail.
In AI:R, airships serve both as a means of transportation and are used in air battles. The ships can be progressively upgraded over time: for instance, with better weapons or stronger armor. There are different types of airships in the game, each with distinct properties that make them suitable for various tasks in battles.
Always choose the right ship – these airships exist in AI:R
The airships that you can pilot in AI:R include:
- Nous Training Airship – This is a beginner air vehicle that you receive very early in the game through a single-player quest
- Ontari Training Airship – This beginner ship can be crafted and improved – for example, to fly faster and higher and to deal more damage
- Vulpin Airship – Essentially similar to the Ontari, but with a different design
- Single Vulpin / Ontari Assault Airship – These airships are purely for combat, have a crew, and can fly high
- Multi-passenger Vulpin / Ontari Assault Airship – These air vehicles can only be used with a crew of up to five players. They are large ships with a lot of firepower, which are resilient but slow
- Wind Sprinter – A ship designed for racing that you receive towards the end game
- Black Ship / Merchant Ship – This ship can only be used in certain dungeons. It is not intended for combat
- Large-scale Ship – This massive vehicle can transport up to 75 players and is therefore designed as a troop transport. It carries flying mounts and has several cannons
The airships in AI:R help you reach certain areas in the game world, and especially come into play during battles. Therefore, it is important to always choose the right ship. The beta phase of the online game by the PUBG creators is planned for the first quarter of 2018.
PvP plays a significant role in the MMORPG AI:R. Apparently, the PvP only serves as a tutorial.
