The YouTuber Manny Khoshbin owns a rare Bugatti Bolide. However, he has to change the tires every 58 kilometers because they wear out so quickly. The price per set of tires: about 7,000 euros.
Which YouTuber is this about? Manny Khoshbin came to the USA in the 1980s and later founded a real estate company called “The Khosbin Company.” In his free time, he showcases his big hobby on his YouTube channel: expensive cars that he collects in a large garage and shows to his audience.
Recently, he released a video on YouTube about one of his vehicles, the Bugatti Bolide, explaining that he has to change the tires every 36 miles (about 58 km). The cost per set of tires: 8,000 USD (about 7,000 euros).
The company “Slate Auto” recently unveiled a car that is aimed more at the average buyer:

What kind of vehicle is this? The Bugatti Bolide is an extremely rare hypercar designed solely for the racetrack, which was introduced as a concept in 2020 and went into production in 2024 (via bugatti.com). Only 40 units were produced, making it one of the most exclusive Bugatti models ever made. The price per vehicle is about 4 million euros (4.7 million USD).
What is the problem with the tires? Khoshbin explained that the Bolide comes with two sets of tires: a very thin pair meant only for transporting the vehicle and a set for driving. Those are called slick tires, which have no tread and are mainly suitable for dry and slightly wet roads.
The “problem” is the car itself: due to the wear and the high performance of the vehicle, the tires are put under such strain that they need to be changed frequently. After about 60 kilometers, it’s over; otherwise, it could lead to damage to the vehicle.
The tires must also not be pre-heated to more than 80 degrees under normal conditions, and a maximum of 30 degrees in the rain. However, the car can reach 380 km/h even under normal conditions, and “only” 300 km/h in the rain.
