Even before the official release of FIFA 22 on October 1, a glitch is making the rounds that makes scoring significantly easier under certain conditions. The bug appears to be an old acquaintance from FIFA 21.
What kind of glitch is this? The bug has so far been tested in the Pro Clubs mode of FIFA 22. This requires more than one active player. It is related to a goal kick being taken up to the opponent’s penalty area, where a teammate is already waiting for the ball.
The opponent’s defense AI usually positions itself in such a way that it does not mark the waiting player at all. So, this player is completely open and can rush towards the opponent’s goal almost alone and free after a successful goal kick.
YouTuber JCC documented this bug in a video after an opponent tried it against his team. JCC’s team then turned the tables and scored a goal in nearly every attempt. Here you can see it all in the video:

What does the YouTuber say about it? According to his statement, JCC has already forwarded the glitch to EA and has not received a response. With the video, he aims to ensure that the bug disappears from the game as quickly as possible.
How are the players reacting? In the comments, players are far from enthusiastic. Some criticize that the bug also appeared in the predecessor. One commenter writes: “This isn’t new, it was like that in FIFA 21. I’ve been using it in Pro Clubs all the time.”
Some therefore doubt that EA would even test such bugs and feel validated: FIFA essentially remains the same every year, including glitches.
Does this only work in Pro Clubs? It’s hard to say. So far, there is no evidence of the glitch from other modes. Theoretically, it should work in any mode where you can play a match in co-op.
Whether EA will fix the bug promptly is currently unknown. Since this did not happen in the predecessor, it may take a while.
When will FIFA 22 be released? The early access phase has been running since September 27. FIFA 22 will officially be released on October 1 for all players.
