Do you want to game from bed and accomplish other important tasks? Linus Sebastian from Linus Tech Tips thinks this idea is great and has now built a gaming bed. He used only furniture from the furniture giant IKEA.
What’s it about? Doing all important things from a gaming bed and having the PC, console, and accessories right within reach? A Japanese company called Bauhütte introduced a gaming bed in mid-2020, which is surely a dream for many gamers.
This bed was also discovered by Linus Sebastian from Linus Tech Tips, who wanted to order it. When he didn’t hear back from the Japanese manufacturer, he decided to build such a bed himself. In his video, he presents his “ultimate gaming bed”. He uses almost exclusively IKEA furniture.
Linus Tech Tips builds gaming bed only from IKEA furniture
Which furniture does he use? For his ultimate gaming bed, he uses the following furniture from IKEA and published a list in his forum. If possible, we will provide you with the Euro prices:

How complicated is the setup? You mainly need to assemble a daybed (Flekke) and several side tables. So the effort is manageable. Afterwards, Linus made some details:
- In a further step, he mounted two surround speakers from the manufacturer VIZIO to the backrest of the bed and placed the corresponding soundbar under the TV. This is a 65-inch TV from VIZIO.
- On the right side, there is a swivel arm to which he attached a tablet.
- On a side table, he has also placed a coffee machine to quickly prepare hot meals.
- In the drawers of the bed, he packed plenty of snacks, drinks, and ready meals.
- To game on the PC, he brought his ROCCAT SOVA gaming lapboard. This is a combination of keyboard and table.

Soon there will be “proper” gaming furniture from IKEA
Linus Sebastian has combined a lot of furniture for his “ultimate” bed. However, IKEA has already announced that they want to team up with ASUS to develop proper gaming furniture for IKEA. This will also include a stylish gaming hand that aims to support you while gaming.
Nils Raettig from GameStar looked at IKEA’s newly introduced gaming furniture and is anything but convinced. According to Raettig, these furniture do not really deserve the attribute “gaming”. What he is not convinced about can be read in his column at GameStar.
