Where do the numbers come from? The winners actually come from YouTube itself and are based on its statistics. YouTube did not disclose exactly how the numbers were arrived at in its presentation.

9. BastiGHG: BastiGHG is especially known for his Minecraft videos. Here he regularly publishes videos and is now also active on Twitch.
8. Gnu: Gnu, formerly known as “SaftigesGnu”, is one of the most well-known faces on Twitch and YouTube. Here she plays different games, including Among Us, Dead by Daylight, and some simulators. Gnu is the first gaming YouTuber in Germany to exceed 1 million subscribers.

7. Marvin: Marvin is a German moderator and video producer and made headlines in 2021 especially with a video series about shady advertising, where he sold a fake product to influencers.
6. Mady Morrison: Mady Morrison is a certified yoga teacher from Berlin, focusing on personal training and events. Here she regularly publishes health-related videos.
5. MrBeast: MrBeast’s real name is Jimmy Donaldson and he is an English-speaking YouTuber. He combines various formats such as competitions or charity actions in his videos and often collaborates with well-known personalities. In his newest video, he re-enacted the massacre from the Netflix series Squid Game.
4. Jindaouis: The YouTube channel “Jindaouis” is a duo of two people, as the channel “Jindaouis” is run by Nader together with his wife Louisa. Most of the time, the two share impressions from their lives with the viewers.
3. Lehrerschmidt: Lehrerschmidt is actually a school principal and began his career on YouTube with math videos. Since 2016, he has his own channel and regularly publishes videos on topics such as physics, German, and mathematics.
2. Hungry Hugo: He relies on a special concept, as he takes random clips from streamers and packages them in a story within a video, which is filled with other stories and clips. This way, totally crazy videos and memes are created that have gained great popularity on YouTube.
Who is the most successful YouTuber? The most successful YouTuber in Germany in 2021 is “Renzo” (in the title image). Rezo became known primarily for his criticism of German politics. His most successful video “The Destruction of the CDU” reached over 19 million views in 2019.
