In Destiny 2, your Guardians will face an important decision next week. However, many players have already made up their minds.
The decision is about: Will your loyalty continue to lie with the Vanguard led by Zavala, or will you side with the Drifter?
This question will be posed to you next Tuesday, on March 12th. And you must choose a side.
Why must I decide? On this day, the loyalty quest begins in Destiny 2. This quest is exclusive to season pass owners and part of Season 6.
Depending on whether you choose the Vanguard or the Drifter, you will experience the quest from a different perspective. Bungie urges players to decide wisely.
Many Guardians find the decision easy
This is how many have decided: On reddit, there have already been numerous posts about this loyalty quest, with users overwhelmingly voting “for the Drifter”.
“We’re all siding with the Drifter, right?” asks a Guardian and receives over 1500 upvotes. After all, he is the cool uncle who constantly praises and acknowledges accomplishments.
In contrast, Zavala is like an authoritarian father who reprimands for any disobedience. Moreover, he was quite uncool at the Forsaken launch and didn’t even want to let us avenge Cayde’s death.
One Guardian points out: “If Zavala really wanted me, he would update his loot pool.” The fact that vendors in Destiny 2 have no new weapons available was recently criticized again. The Drifter, however, has new weapons to throw around in Gambit Prime and Reckoning.
Only a few are waving the Vanguard flag. One writes that we would stand against Lord Shaxx if we chose the Drifter. And he won’t stand against his dude Shaxx.
Many agree with this. One says: “I really don’t like Zavala and Ikora could not matter less to me. But Shaxx, man, yeah, I can’t stand against him.”
And others write with great pathos that they will support the Vanguard, which they have supported for years.
Nevertheless, the Drifter seems to have the masses behind him. He is the fresh, cool character who lures with new power, while Zavala acts too conservatively. Such images are already circulating:
In a poll in the Bungie Forum, the Drifter is clearly in the lead. This shows that many Guardians are ready to make the brutal cut from the Vanguard.
What is known about the loyalty quest?

From Bungie, we know that the loyalty quest was previously announced as the “Joker’s Wildcard” quest, which was supposed to be a weekly quest.
How “important” will the decision be? You must choose a side to experience the quest from that perspective. However, if you have multiple characters, you can play both perspectives.
Because the decision is made per character – you can choose a different path for each one.
