In a few days, name reservation for World of Warcraft Classic will begin. Those who want their name should hurry.
In a few weeks, it will finally happen, then World of Warcraft Classic will be launched. Players can then experience the “classic” Azeroth again and level up in the world before The Burning Crusade, tackle raids and become masters of their professions. However, to ensure that every player is guaranteed to get the name for their character that they want, there will be a name reservation beforehand. This will be next week.
When will the name reservation take place? On August 12 at midnight (i.e., from August 12 to August 13), the name reservation for WoW Classic will begin. You should have already downloaded the game client to participate in the reservation.
How does the reservation work? To participate in the reservation, you must have an active subscription to World of Warcraft. Afterwards, you can log in to the servers of your choice at the aforementioned time and create up to 3 characters, securing their names.
When will there be information about the servers? The exact server list will be published by Blizzard “later this week.” This is to give all players enough time to agree on a server and faction with their friends. Just recently, Blizzard granted players German realms after there were loud protests.
By the way, you can own a maximum of 10 characters per server and 50 characters across all Classic realms – regardless of how many you own in the “normal” version of World of Warcraft.
