In Fall Guys, the mid-season update is happening today. It shakes up the levels quite dramatically. And there is also a Superhammer!
This is the update: The new update in Fall Guys does not yet kick off Season 2, but rather mixes up the content of the first season again. On the Twitter channel, the update is described as “Big Yeetus & Anti-Cheatus”.
The “Anti-Cheatus” part refers to the cheaters that made life difficult for Fall Guys recently. With the new update, the developers at Epic Games have gotten involved to tackle the cheaters. This is supposed to be more effective than the recently used tactic of simply sending cheaters to their own island.
The “Big Yeetus” is a nasty Superhammer, which can appear randomly in the levels. It then rotates with considerable speed and can knock you quite far off your path. Ideally, you can make up significant ground in a race this way. If it doesn’t go well, you might fly into the next abyss.
But the Big Yeetus is not the only new feature.
The update brings a wild level mix-up
Changes to the levels: The little Fall Guys beans have to navigate through all kinds of obstacles to reach the finish line. However, recently there might have been some routine with the very similar levels. That is now changing.
The developers have altered several game rounds. For example, it may happen that suddenly hammers appear in levels where there were none before. Or falling fruits may land in levels where players previously only had to focus on rotating platforms.
They promise “really crazy variations of the classic favorites from Season 1” (via PlayStation Blog), various obstacle combinations are to appear from now on. In short: you probably should not rely on the familiar paths from the last few weeks anymore. In addition, the patch is set to include improved server stability, graphics enhancements, and even more changes to make the game run smoother.
