In Destiny 2 we asked you before the release of “The Final Shape” who the coolest character of all time is. You voted and made it clear.
What was that survey about? We asked you before the release of Destiny 2: The Final Shape during its 25-hour downtime, which character from the story is the coolest of all.
26 characters from the lore were available for selection and you made the decision. Many of the characters have either joined with seasons or came into the spotlight through the release of major DLCs.
Even though so many characters were available, 65% of players clearly chose one character – one that many should know primarily for his dry humor.
Cayde is your favorite, it was clear!
What were the results? 65% might initially sound tight, but looking at the results, it becomes clear that the winner was distinctly chosen. You voted and his name is Cayde-6, the old Hunter Vanguard with the loose tongue. A total of 1,674 Guardians (as of June 13) participated in the survey. The results are as follows:

When comparing the second and third place candidates, it is clear that Cayde won decisively. In second place is Mara Sov with 90 votes, and in third place is The Nomad with 77 votes. Following them are Shaxx with 46 votes, the 14th Holy with 44 votes, and even The Witness and villain from the Light and Darkness saga with 36 votes.
Why is Cayde-6 the winner? Anyone who has been playing since Destiny 1 knows that Cayde is just Cayde. He is funny, charming, loves to improvise, and is honest with the Guardians. Especially the development from Destiny 2: Forsaken touched many Guardians’ hearts.
Bungie let one of its most beloved Guardians die for the story, which brought tears to many fans’ eyes. Many players are looking forward to meeting the jokester again in The Final Shape to be entertained by his dry jokes once more.
