In Nazjatar, you can use a special item once per day. You should do this, as there are nice rewards that make many things in WoW easier.
Nazjatar is one of the two areas from Patch 8.2, the current update of World of Warcraft, and is full of secrets. One of them can be really rewarding. It’s basically a “daily loot box” that can contain reputation tokens, experience points for followers, gold items, but also a lot of junk. We are talking about Mardivas’s widely praised bag.
What can be in the bag? The bag has a relatively long loot list, and the probabilities are not exactly known yet. So far, the following have been confirmed:
- Benthic gear tokens
- Prismatic mana pearls
- Reputation tokens for the Nazjatar factions
- Exchange items for follower XP
- Ancient mana (Yes, the Suramar stuff)
- All buffs from Nazjatar (often confused with “nothing”)
- Items from the Murloc vendors
- Gray junk that the vendors take
However, the bag can only be used once every 20 hours. For an additional chance at bonus reputation or extra experience for followers in Nazjatar, it’s a nice bonus. Additionally, you can also draw the cursed items that the Tortollan vendor wants from the bag.
How do you get the bag? Currently, there are two ways to obtain the bag. It is a possible drop from “Arcane Fusion,” an enemy you can summon once a week in Mardivas’ Lab (Coordinates 60 / 34). However, you will get the bag much more reliably if you open all 8 large chests in Nazjatar that have been locked and hidden by Mardivas. The last chest is guaranteed to contain the bag.
How do you open the chests? The chests are secured by various mini-games. You have to either play a round of “Bejeweled” and match colored runes or untangle a tangle of threads. The third mini-game is a bit harder. Here, you have to protect an arcane energy core from attacks coming from three directions. You can only make a few mistakes; otherwise, you will have to restart the mini-game.
Where are the chests? You can find the exact location of the chests in the graphic below. This was published by User Rife_ on Reddit . The green X marks show where the large chests are located that are needed.

Anyone who wants their little, personal loot box every day and enjoy the nice feeling of disappointed anticipation every 20 hours will surely be happy with Mardivas’s widely praised bag.
Have you already gotten the bag? Or do you not like such random loot?
