If you log in to Dead by Daylight, you will receive a big bonus – at least if you hurry.
Patches and new features in Dead by Daylight are often a double-edged sword. This is because even good changes often come with many bugs and errors that need to be fixed later by the developers.
This time, however, they have decided to compensate all players quickly. If you log into the game, you will receive a substantial bonus on blood points.
What kind of bonus is this? It involves a whopping 500,000 blood points. You will receive them simply by starting Dead by Daylight and logging into the game. You should immediately be credited with the bonus.
Why was there a bonus? Due to some issues with the new “Grade” system. It had replaced the ranking system and was supposed to reward players with blood points on the 13th of each month. Many players reported, however, that the bonus simply did not exist.
Everyone was reset to the lowest grade, but only a portion of the players received the promised blood points. An error that quickly caused a lot of uproar and criticism. Dead by Daylight responded quickly and explained that they would give compensation to everyone who logs into the game.
The 500,000 blood points correspond to the maximum a player can earn from the grade system per month – namely when they achieve the best grade as both a killer and a survivor.
Error fixed, killer improved
Shortly after, the developers released a small bug fix patch that also made some improvements to the new killer Pinhead. Highlights of the new patch 5.2.1 include:
- When Pinhead teleports to a survivor who is currently solving the puzzle box, the game now prioritizes a position on the same level as the survivor.
- The maps “Dead Dog Saloon” and “Raccoon City Police Station” are active again.
- Missing DLCs on PS4 and PS5 are back.
- Some bugs were fixed where killers could not pick up survivors when they went down in certain positions.
Aside from that, there were several smaller bug fixes primarily related to performance.
Have you already claimed the bonus? Or can 500,000 blood points not motivate you to log in?
