With the Pokémon GO Christmas event, new Pokémon are waiting for you. Some of these Pokémon can only be obtained from 7 km eggs. The eggs, which often contain only useless Alolan Pokémon, are becoming more prominent again.
We will show you the Pokémon that you can exclusively get from the eggs and tell you why the 7 km eggs are not so bad after all.
Mampfaxo, Mantirps, Klingplim – These Pokémon hatch from 7 km eggs
When does the Christmas event start? Today, on December 18, the Christmas event in Pokémon GO starts at 10 PM. Then you will have the opportunity to catch new Pokémon from the 4th generation. This includes three Pokémon that you can only obtain from 7 km eggs.
These Pokémon hatch from the 7 km eggs: Mampfaxo, Mantirps, and Klingplim are baby Pokémon from the 4th generation and hatch exclusively from 7 km eggs. Apart from trading, you will not obtain these three Pokémon in any other way.
These Pokémon also hatch from the eggs: In addition to the three new Pokémon, Niantic is further expanding the pool of Pokémon. Kussilla, Azurill, and Riolu will also hatch from the eggs at the start of the event.
How do I get 7 km eggs? The eggs are only found in gifts from friends. To receive such an egg, you need to have space in your egg inventory and open gifts from friends. There is no other way to acquire these eggs.
If you want to hatch the new Pokémon, collect the 7 km eggs only after the event starts at 10 PM. All eggs that are in your inventory before that will not contain any new Pokémon.
That’s why these eggs are useful: The 7 km eggs have a bad reputation. For a long time, there were only Alolan Pokémon from the eggs, and they are not very useful in battles. Once everyone had these Alolan forms, the eggs became pointless.
Niantic has increased the pool of Pokémon that hatch from 7 km eggs with several baby Pokémon. This pleased the players, as the babies can be shiny and were significantly rarer from the other eggs.
Now the pool will be further expanded, and players have additional chances to obtain new and rare Pokémon. It is definitely worth hatching the 7 km eggs during the Christmas event. Additionally, very cheap incubators can be found in the current offer boxes.
